America’s Lost Children

America's Lost Children – Another important story that is not taught in school. As I conducted research for historical photography, I didn't understand the volume of Native Americans that were sent to Indian Boarding Schools. It wasn't until I found the photography and saw that rows and rows of children were taken from their families at just one school, only to realize that there were many schools that participated. The dark and uncomfortable stories from history are the most important to tell, we can learn the most from them, we can prevent them in the future. Not only is it interesting to me to find these images and piece them together, I find it's my duty to take the opportunity I have to show others in the best capacity I have.
