Desperately Seeking Sanctuary - An article about refugees who have come to America and become lawyers. This story was another important story to tell because the subjects have each had upheaval in their lives, and have taken the uncertainty and the gift of opportunity and have become lawyers. I used the opening spread to emphasize the type of situation that refugees flee from. It's not that they don't like the weather, in order to receive refugee status, you need to be in imminent danger, and I like to graphically remind people of the reality.
