A second story in the Marked for Life series focusing on formerly incarcerated people that started businesses and employ other formerly incarcerated people. I wanted to the honest and hard work that is mentioned in this story reflected in the photography I chose. We had the opportunity to photograph one of the subjects and his employees working on a business he built after being imprisoned. We don’t get a lot of home renovation imagery, and I thought it was a great way to highlight the hard work and craftsmanship.
